Called By My Name II Chronicles 7:14 "If My people,which are called by My name,shall humble themselves,and pray,and seek My face,and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven,and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." As we consider this verse in todays setting the name I want all of us to think about is Christ and thus Christian. For to long those who desire to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour have allowed man to divide the body of Christ. Our allegiance does not need to belong unto a certain denominational title such as Baptist,Methodist, Lutheran,Church of Christ or pentecostal. If you have your preferred way of worshipping,that is all right;but one thing needs to never change and that is our allegiance to the doctrine of Christ. II John 9 states that "Whosoever transgresseth,and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ,hath not God.He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ,he hath both the Father and the Son." The doctrine of Christ clearly states what sin is and what righteousness is. We as Christians need to stand for the righteousness of God and exalt our nation. Proverbs 29:2, states "When the righteous are in authority,the people rejoice:but when the wicked beareth rule,the people mourn." The problems within this great land are a result of allowing the wicked to rule. It is time for all who call themselves Christians to make a difference in this great land,that has in the past been richly blessed by God. If all true born again Christians would rise up and stand for righteousness,we can make a difference. We can elect people for the leadership of our land,who will folow the desires of the people;who by majority have stood against the wickedness that is in the land. We have allowed a few wicked leaders to dictate unto us their desires and not the desires of God or the people.Most of the problems of unrighteousness have been the result of Senate-approved liberal judges that have made law against the majority. We the people of God need to be heard this November by electing members of congress that will stand up for the Lord. My prayer is that Christians everywhere will seek to be informed and envolved,for the healing of our land.
